6 reviews of Parque de Santa Cruz

A must see

Also known as Parque de Santa Cruz, the name given by the Church because of the former monastery of Santa Cruz which is located a few metres from Mermaid Garden, which opened in 2005. As you pass the Republic Square, you'll be struck by the amazing Triumphal Arch, gateway to the beautiful garden topped by three statues representing faith, hope, and charity. The arch is formed by two towers with baroque decoration and colourful tiles. Inside there's a fountain with a statue of a newt (often mistaken for a mermaid). Don't miss it!
