The train of the alps

Beforehand we weren't clear whether or not it is overpriced, but finally, after waiting for a clear day, we decided and we went. It was one of the best experiences I've had while traveling. The wonderful rack railway is an engineering feat that crosses glaciers, mountains and up an amazing slope to stay near the 4,000 meter Jungfraujoch.

Top of europe

Jungfraujoch is the highest station in Europe (3.454m.). It is an unavoidable experience if you visit Switzerland. There are several ways to reach the top, we start from Interlaken, following stages: Lauterbrunnen, Kl Scheidegg arrival to the top. On the way down to Kl Scheidegg you can choose from Lauterbrunnen or down Grindenwald. The road trip is a bit expensive, if elegis the first train is a little off, but you have an obligation to descend before 12:30. We take this option. If you go in high season worth up early that morning as it passes becomes impossible for people. The spectacular scenery. It is the penultimate station before ascending the Jungfrau. Starting point for several walks. Ideally rise early to Jungfraujoch and falling quietly enjoy the view. From here you have two options: go down or Grindenwald Lauterbrunnen. I would recommend you for Lauterbrunnen village views with spectacular waterfall behind.

Top of europe

Grindelwald to jungfraujoch in alpine train

It's a very expensive trip, but if you walk by and the day is clear, you can not resist. The cogwheel railway is picking up slowly, allowing consumers to enjoy the scenery and get great photos. We took the train to Grindelwald, but you can also take in Interlaken. At Kleine Scheidegg, at 2061m altitude, you have to change trains. From there the train goes through a tunnel to the end of the line, Jungfraujoch, but before making another stop to enjoy the scenery 3160m through with glass enclosed balconies, which also provide access in cases of rescue mountaineers problems in the northern face of Eigger

On top of europe

You can not go in Interlaken, Switzerland, without raising "a little" get to know the Jungfraujoch - or the valley of the Jungfrau mountain lends its name (and beauty) to the Swiss Alps. There are several towns there, but it is a must to visit the Top of Europe, a tourist complex at the highest point in Western Europe. A special train ticket on a beautiful trail through the mountains are just the "warm-up" to get on top. Once there, bet the restaurants (and other Indian has an international food), Snow Fun (activities to skiing on snow, with few pretensions and lots of fun), the Behold Palast (a "palace" of ice in a glacier fully excavated ) and a very nice exhibition about the history of the complex. Oh, and the view, of course. After all, nothing like being surrounded by all around Europe!

Ah, e a vista, claro.

It is worth investing in this experience !!!

A walk, although it has a cost, well worth it !! Arrived yesterday in Bern, and we decided to do the tour, on July 19. Our biggest concern was that the day was acode the situation !! Luckily she was very cute, very sunny so it is necessary to wear sunglasses to protect your sight. We had concerns about all trains had to be taken, but everything is well signposted and enjoying every moment !! On the way you enchant what you're watching and whenever either train progresses along the path, each step is more impressive than the last !! The experience takes all day !! And every step you enjoy !!

The station ms highest in europe

Up to the Jungfraujoch is one of the best experiences you can do when visiting Switzerland. In three different trains, the latter of which runs enteramante by tunnels inside the mountain, and in just over three hours, we get from the station to the Jungfrau Interlaken. Being able to step on snow over 3,600 m altitude with little muss is something that can not be missed. Travel is expensive but it really is worth it.
