Absolutely amazing

The Karnak temple is the largest in Egypt. It's absolutely amazing, and was never finished. Today there are many well-preserved remains, like the pylon, several obelisks, the enormous room with more than 100 columns and even the popular beetle, whose legend says you need to circle it a few times to give yourself good luck. Strolling through the ruins, along with many people, it's hallucinating to think about what it would be like in full bloom. It's connected to the Temple of Luxor by a 3 kilometre path, which made this area (ancient Thebes, the capital of Upper Egypt) truly important in ancient Egypt's history.

Temple of karnak

This is probably the most famous temple of Luxor, which implies beacoup people ... I advise you to come early in the morning 9am at the latest. You will end your tour at the time of the arrival of tour buses ... However, take your time, it's huge: 2km ² Indeed, this temple was enlarged by all the dynasties: This is a true Russian doll! You will find of course, the oldest temple in the center of the complex

The temple of Karnak, also known as the Temple of Amon, in my opinion this is the most beautiful of temple in Luxor. To welcome you at the entrance, on the sides, there are two rows of rams, still in excellent condition. As soon as you cross the external walls, we are in a room where appiono were 134 high pillars up to 22 meters. Passing the other walls you will find yourself in another room with columns, but this time in number and extent lower. The pictures definitely make it to smarten the idea ...

Karnak temple of amon

After being buried under the sand for more than 1000 years, but have not yet completed the excavation work today we can admire in all its splendor the temple dedicated to the king of the gods, Amun and the set of temples, obelisks, chapels, colossi and the sacred lake. Stresses the colossus of Ramses II at the entrance to the hypostyle hall, consisting of 134 gigantic columns, accompanied by one of his daughters. Too bad we could not visit the temple at night because I think there is a nice sound and light show by the sacred lake where the priests purified the water before the temple rituals. On that keeping beetle was the ritual, figure around which we must give 7 laps to ensure good fortune.

Karnak

Due to the heat and crowds of the city, it is a site to visit VERY early - around 7am. Karnak temple is composed of the hypostyle hall - it has the distinction of having the pool gods where rituals and pilgrimages to the start of the Nile had places. In his courses have seen the imposing sacred scarab - The people suffering from infertility revolve around the building hoping that their wishes are fulfilled. We must turn 8 times goshawks anticlockwise to see his wishes ... come true! ;)

Karnak

Words can not describe the feeling you get in Karnak. As the guide advised us: Close your eyes for a few seconds and think that you find yourself in that time, all columns are painted in colors, women and priests robes and everything smells like perfume, oils and incense. It really is a magical place where imagination runs. I could go to and really light and sound spectacular. That if to take pictures or record video and then have to pay not usually work out jacks. The wonderful ride rams and best of all it is linked with the Temple of Luxor, and that is dedicated to Amon Karnak and Luxor to Amunet his wife ....

Undoubtedly one of the wonders of the world

Visit the Temple of KARNAK with scorching heat of 50 º Celsius, is not easy. Temperatures are usually very high, but well worth it. A work with more than 4 million years that was submerged in the Egyptian sands for over 1000 years. The main temple for the God Amun-Re. Karnak was at that time the principal place of worship of the gods of Thebes (Thebes was the capital of Egypt). Today is one of the most popular sites among tourists visiting Egypt. I was amazed at what I saw, is without doubt one of the wonders of the planet.

The most known

The majestic Temple of Karnak dedicated to the god Amun is undoubtedly one of the most famous Luxor driveway with its lions, the hall of columns and everything exceptional historic site. I suggest you get there early to avoid being stuck in the crowd who landed in tourist bus. This majestic temple reminds us strongly, even thousands of years later, the greatness of Egyptian civilization. To fully appreciate not hesitate to use the services of a guide who will tell you the history of places.

An exceptional site, in which, like tourists looking buildings in a big city, we easily caught a sore neck to admire the gigantic force of architecture ... Avoid preferably from June too hot (46 ° C) in order to enjoy the landscape. Always obliged to take refuge in the shade. For me the right time is between March and May.

Karnak or ipet sut

This is a special, magical, a place of power in short. Karnak, whose literal translation is "fortified city", also known as Ipet Sut, or "the most revered", is one of the best preserved Egyptian temples, and certainly one with which we can imagine as was the Egyptian Civilization . A must for all travelers who travel to Egypt.

Karnak o ipet sut

As I like the stones (some say this), had a great time on the trip to Egypt. I took pictures of a tube, although some, those reliefs that had to do with flash, I went wrong, because I bounced the light, but by making many, then delete the bad home. The advantages of digital technology.
