Ryoguko Kokugikan Sumo Stadium

In the district of Ryogoku Tokyota, you'll find the stadium of Ryogoku Kokugikan. This is occasionally used for activities like boxing, wrestling, or even concerts. It's funny - a stadium clearly reminiscent of a temple. Everything revolves around the traditional sport of sumo, so if you eat in a nearby restaurant, it's not weird to find some of the huge wrestlers at the next table, dressed in simple kimonos and sandals, gobbling down their daily calories. In many of these restaurants you can try the "chanko nabe" which, for a very cheap price, is a calorie casserole with vegetables, fish and meat.
