Durga Puja

If you are planning to travel to Kolkata the right period of the year is in the end of September, beginning of October. The Durga Puja is a holy festivity celebrating the victory of the Goddess Durga on a demon.
It is the main holiday of West Bengal, the city is full of temporary temples made of bamboo.
Indian people told me it is like our christmas but it has nothing to do with it...

This is truly the city of joy

Excellent

You can find history, culture, arts, different societies, science and off course the birthplace of the great Swami Vivekanand.

In the morning start for a city tour conducted by wbtdc. It will cover almost all the places.
Later in the evening go to Park Street to enjoy the nightlife. There u can find almost all types of pub, restaurants.

And then safely return to your hotel before 9:30 via the metro train, the first underground metro in India. If u want to enjoy cool breeze of the mighty ganges (hooghly river) You can take a tram ride to the princep ghat.Sitting on the window

Kolkata and Me

Excellent

Kolkata is a beautiful city, always ALIVE and full of romance, love and joy. The another name of Kolkata is, City of Joy !!

An immense rush of reminiscence and modernity

Excellent

Mixed with classic metropolitan ambience. If you visit Kolkata ever you can't escape the magical aesthetism of its refined culture and crude liberalism.

Be it the Nostalgic north or the Classy central or the Sanguine south you will feel like finding yourself being in the company of a stranger with whom you bonded over the least expected thing. Walk around in the glory of your travelhood pants and you'll know what am I talking about.

Stalls in india

The last week of October, taking advantage of the party held Khali (Khali-Puja) and celebration of Diwali, something like our New Year's Eve party, I went to spend a couple of days in Kolkata (Calcutta). It was my first time to the city in India and the experience was amazing. Its crowded streets, the sidewalks filled with stalls, food, places where you can drink tea served in bowls.

The need for speed!

One of the awesome things about travelling in Kolkata streets!

As it speaks for itself, The City of Joy

Excellent

Also known as The Land of the Pujo, for which it is widely renowned. You can do anything and everything here.

crowdy and very big city.
