La Acequia

The Ditch is a site about 40 km from Barinas to the Andes, where it has the base camp Trek Arassari agency for rafting during the wet season and descending the river in the dry season isn't a great idea because there is little water. The camp is ideally situated on the banks of the river La Acequia. It has several bungalows to stay in, an indoor/outdoor restaurant with some nice hammocks. This is a recommendable spot for anyone who wants to try going rafting in Venezuela, after a lovely safari through the plains.
