Route to the Bachalpsee Lakes

Excellent

If I could think up my perfect hike it would be the one I did this summer in Switzerland to the Bachalpsee lakes. In an idyllic setting surrounded by the Alps and fir forests in an area completely pollution-free are, we reached Grindelwald and then took a cable car to the First station which makes you feel like a bird flying over the valley of Grindelwald with its endless prairies and chocolate houses and the almighty Jungfrau at over 4000 meters high. Once at the First, you can walk along some amazing trails before arriving at the Bachalpsee lakes with the mountains perfectly reflected in them.

Pure Swiss

The contrast between this lake, the blue sky, the green meadows, and the white snow of the mountain peaks in indescribable, especially when you see it reflected in the waters of the lake. You can get there via a one-hour (minimum) hike from the First cable stop in Grindewald. The best time to go is in June when the meadows are full of wildflowers from the melting snow.
