A seville tavern with charm

Despite the hordes of tourists who invade the Jewish district of Seville, in the Santa Cruz neighbourhood, Bar Las Teresas still retains its "authentic" charm.

Located in a beautiful setting, surrounded by narrow streets, its interior is very Seville. It has a splendid wooden polychrome red and white marble bar and its walls are decorated with numerous pictures of illustrious visitors.

The highlights of the tapas in Las Teresas are the spinach with chickpeas and those of Jabugo ham. But we didn’t shy away from the tortillitas de camarones (shrimp omelette), the Gazpacho or the secret Iberian ham, all washed down with wines from Jerez and Manzanilla (fresh) from Sanlucar de Barrameda.

One thing of note: the bar displays a curious collection of ham knives

A very sevillian caf-bar

The Café-Bar Las Teresas is doing chamfer between Santa Teresa Street and Ximénez de Enciso, in the labyrinthine neighborhood of Santa Cruz in Seville (Andalusia, Spain). Founded in 1870. Not a tourist bar but retains a flavor very castizo Seville and it shows the bar and its magnificent decoration tiled walls. In the nineteenth century was a grocery store that eventually evolved cellar and later became back in 1971 at the Café-Bar we know today. The cuisine offered is quality and highlights the Iberian ham Jabugo (Huelva) and its many tapas where spinach with chickpeas is famous in the city. His cellar is also appreciated for its good wines both red and white. It has outside tables equipped with a system to create a cool environment in the summer months. I recommend you visit it, you eat what you eat and drink what they drink will not disappoint and will attend with great kindness. Recommended by 100% and guarantee that you will leave satisfied. Let me know ...

'Las Teresas' is a bar full of character, but not too touristy kitsch and not in the middle of Santa Cruz. The service is friendly. Tapas, like everyone else, but those creative and quality. Of course, everything has a price and the tapas here cost a few euro more (even 4-5), but how else will offer a tapa bar kobe beef? Also excellent cured meats. And - note on - the red wine served cold (!) As in other places. Be a coincidence but I have had one of the best wines tasted in Spain. Before becoming a bar in the 900 was a grocery store. Definitely a recommended address in Santa Cruz, where the risk of hitting a lot of places tourism is very high!

Small but charming

Tried Allied potatoes (a kind of salad boiled potatoes) were good, we ordered half racin of CaZn (8) the truth was very juicy but fell short of salt and carries no salsa, but quite acceptable size. Nicely located throughout the area for tapas.

Of the worst bars in the area, very poor service. When you do not understand what's on and if you ask complaints sheet. they do not understand.

De los peores bares de la zona
