The cheapest option
If you're tired of crossing the Ram Jula bridge, or if you do not have much confidence in its architecture and its maintenance, you can always cross the Ganges by boat. It is the cheapest and most traditional option. The boats leave from the docks along the crematoria at any time of the day. Maybe witness the big creatures up close that can be seen from the bridge when some passersby throws them food.
