A respite for the body and the soul

Excellent

The park has this romantic halo that different events throughout history, have contributed towards.

Fundamental the Latin American Exposition of 1929 which endowed a masterful architecture to the enclosure. Anibal Gonzalez, with his culminating work, the Plaza de España, knew how to conceive a space that for photography lovers presents a real gold mine.

In these times of stress and crisis, Maria Luisa Park, in Seville, takes on added value. One only need only stroll through it to realize that we are in a place with charm and a special magic.

The sound of the fountains and the fresh scent of the morning complete a revitalizing experience. At various points you can unite different experiences, such as feeding the pigeons (Plaza de America), ride a bike (including family cycles) or entertain one’s self taking photographs of the incomparable Plaza de España.

A day of green

Excellent

Taking a walk in the park of Maria Luisa, Seville is something hard to forget. From the Plaza de España to the Monte Gurugu, a wide area of trees and plants, and albero roads (made of sedimentary rock, yellow in tone and of organic origin used mainly in Spanish bullrings), make this walk a magical activity.

Strolling along we find, almost by accident, a pond in which there is a small island, named "Of the Ducks".

A small stone bridge leads to this little corner where we can enjoy the greenery of Seville.

Ride in horse-drawn carriage

Take in the Torre del Oro (Golden Tower) or the Maestranza in a horse-drawn carriage, the ride is very nice, crossing the Maria Luisa Park and Plaza of España.

Pass through the San Telmo palace (home of the Andalusia Autonomous Government), the Tabacalera building (where the legendary Carmen worked).

It costs 40 € for a 55 minute ride, really worth it.

The lungs of Seville

Besides the Plaza de España is the Santa Maria Park. Like other parks, be it the Retiro in Madrid or the García Sanabria in Tenerife, they are places to get away from pollution and noise.

A place to relax although lacking the buzz of water, being that the fountains are not operational. Among other things, I would highlight the tribute to Gustavo Adolfo Becquer with allegories to his literary work.
