Still Water Horse Head Statue

Still Water Horse Head Statue

1 review of Still Water Horse Head Statue

A strange sculpture

For some, a splendid example of modern art, for others one of the ugliest statues in London, the Marwari horse head of Marble Arch (at the entrance to Hyde Park) is one of the most striking sights in the area. This strange sculpture was created by British sculptor Nic Fiddian-Green and is inspired by the elegant horses used by Indian kings and the warriors of ancient India. It was opened in 2009, and was originally only going to stand at Marble Arch for a month, but proved so popular that it remains there to this day.
