So diverse and spectacular

If there's one thing that stands out in the island of Milos it is undoubtedly the beaches, which are so diverse and spectacular they it seems almost impossible that so many of them are crammed into such a small island. The beaches stand out, first of all, because of the water quality and second, because of their amazing surroundings due, in a large part, to the island's volcanic origins which has left many whimsical rock formations. One of my favorites is Firopotamos: the beach in Firopotamos has impressively clear water and the town is worth visiting too.

Plathiena: This is one of the most open beaches on the island with some of the stronger waves found on Milos. If it's a nice day, I'd suggest making a visit.

Paliochori: This is a beach surrounded by volcanic cliffs and has many services nearby.

Firiplaka: Another volcanic beach with interesting rock formations.

And now, finally, my two favorites (seriously, I can't decide which one I like better).

Sarakiniko: Just a wonder of nature. A beach made up of smooth rock of the most intense white color, surrounded by dramatic cliffs and a shipwreck less than a kilometer away.

Tsigrado: One of the most beautiful beaches in the Cyclades, with sapphire waters which are simply incredible.

Of course, I suggest visiting them all, perhaps on one of the many daily boat trips which they organize on the island. Milos is worth your time and I'd suggest immersing yourself in the wonderful beaches.

If anything highlights the island of Milos it is its beaches, a variety and quality that seem impossible to find in an island of such a small size. Its many beaches are great for the quality of the waters, but also for the amazing locatio. This is due to its volcanic geology, which provides whimsical shapes. Some of my favorites are: Firopotamos: The beach town of Firopotamos has amazing clear water and the town is also worth a visit. Plathiena: One of the open beaches of the island, with waves that are stronger and beautiful to visit. Paliochori: surrounded by volcanic cliffs with services around. Firiplaka: Another beach volcanic rock formations. And finally, my 2 favorites, I would have trouble deciding which one is my favorite. Sarakiniko: Everything is freak of nature, a beach formed by limestone of a white color, surrounded by dramatic cliffs and a stranded boat. Tsigrado: One of the most beautiful beaches of the Cyclades, with sapphire waters that are amazing. Of course you can see all of them in one of the many boat trips around the island , but it is worth spending time on the island of Milos and enjoy your wonderful offer beach.
