Known for its violins which can often be found decorating the facades
The medieval town of Mittenwald can be found near the border with Austria. It is a nice place to visit with its frescoes painted on various topics as is common in the region and the mountains rising all around it. This city is also known for its violins which can often be found decorating the facades. There is also a violin museum, the Geigenbau und Heimatmuseum, which I did not have time to visit. Mittenwald is a great place to walk around and enjoy the pleasure of the trip.
