A Postcard Picture

Excellent

This is a place to enjoy the view and relax with the scenery. This mill was built in 1764 as a flour mill and is still functions today. Like many windmills, it was damaged during WW2. Since 1949, the mill has been owned by the city of Gorinchem. The machines were installed in the second half of the twentieth century and after a long break and several restoration works, they were put to use in 1995 again. "Hoop" means "hope". There is no fixed schedule, so there is only a very limited period of access for tourists.
