New Plymouth

The city saw the landing of thousands of Scots after the British invasion of New Zealand. For this reason, most of its inhabitants have family ties of varying degrees, and it is not uncommon to see similar faces all the time. A curious detail is the conservation of plants marking the city skyline. It's not something that has to be done anymore but it's so ingrained into the lives of the people here that no-one has ever thought to remove it.
