Winding and steep village

Competa is a village in Axarquia, 630 meters from the foot of the Tejeda and Almijara. It is winding and steep with white houses with Moorish, Roman and Christian prints. The most important street is San Antonio, behind the square, which divides the village into two districts. The main monument is the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption. Also worth mentioning are the Ermita de San Antón and the Gaudi-style panoramic viewpoint.
