Crossing the Arch of the Catholic Kings or Puerta Real de la Villa, we went into the old quarter on Calle Real. The the streets are quite narrow and winding, which is reminiscent of some streets that are in the souks in Morroco or in the surrounding mosques. This is because its Nazari construction. The neighborhood has almost original architecture and the houses facades have been quite well-preserved. And, as is typical in all of the towns in Andalusia, they facades have been bleached a light color.
