Quick visit

Although it had been raining, we spent the morning looking around the city. We were impressed with the theater, very well preserved, although mostly rebuilt. Then we visited the Arc de Triomphe, and the Cathedral. I don't think it's worth it to see more things. Use the time to take advantage of the time to see different places.

Heritage

One day we receive bluish tremendously the first city we visited on our last night in Provence. We started with a bang, a city steeped in history and with an exquisite heritage. The flirty, elegant, quiet and peaceful town of Orange is almost taken from a book of art history as among its treasures is the best preserved Roman theater in Europe. After printing your visit because we decided to stroll, enjoy the beautiful summer day and get lost in its narrow streets, fresh, secluded squares where you can stop and have a drink in their flirty terraces. Orange is a ciudd rich in history and full of traditions. Curiously, the city belonged to Holland to SXVIII approx. Investigate its history and you will understand why there are other cities in the Netherlands and the U.S. with his name ;-)

Romanit in provence

Orange is a French town, 20 km from Avignon, in the department of Vaucluse, in Provence. A city of ancient Roman origins, boasts numerous monuments testifying to that time, as well as the next Middle Ages. To see the Roman theater, in front of the Municipal Museum, the Arc de Triomphe and numerous churches, including the Cathedral and the church of Saint Florent. The most beautiful squares are those of Clemenceau (in front of the cathedral, the heart of the city), to Langes and Piazza delle Erbe. It is worth to get lost among the silent streets of the center.

Romanità in provenza

Roman ruins

You can take a walk through history in the beautiful city of Orange, near Avignon, in southern France. Orange is very old, since its origins predate the Christian era, and there are many tests testimonies in its Roman ruins, beautifully preserved. In addition to being currently the headquarters of the First Armoured Regiment of the Foreign Legion or the First Regiment of Cavalry Foreign here originated many institutions of this type. The town is quiet, small, easy to visit many monuments and facades in typical French style. It enjoys a temperate climate, all the cafes have outdoor terraces and sell ice cream everywhere. also to visit the Arc de Triomphe, the Roman Theatre, both declared World Heritage Site since 1981.

Splendide rovine romane
