Built in the time of Lopez, specifically Don Antonio Calos Lopez to be the residence of his son Francisco Solano Lopez, who later became president and Paraguayan Mariscal, built with materials and foreigners architects, construction began in 1857 and completed in the time of the War of the Triple Alliance, approximately in 1864, decorated with furniture parisianos, so mirrors, bronzes, and a staircase that built marmor Italian engineer Andres Antonini, come exclusively from Italy to the effect The interiors were decorated by artists also Italian and English, was a stunning work of art, which was never used by the heir of Lopez, as before the war broke termination great, as it was called the War of the Triple alliance in 1869 was taken by the Brazilian troops / Argentine and looted all their ornaments, bronzes, statues, furniture and large mirrors that adorned the halls of the palace were taken to Brazil, and during the period of occupation was used as barracks general, also during that time, nearly seven years, its towers flew in the Brazilian flag was finally abandoned when the enemy troops retreated, was rebuilt in 1892, and the Palace of the Lopez, returned to his former glory, but the President Juan Alberto Gonzalez could never, like Lopez, dwell in this majestic palace, which was overthrown in a military coup in 1894, not the successor of this, President Marcos Morínigo could inhabit the palace, and short-lived in office, newly Juan Bautista Eusquiza and his successors used it as the presidential palace to this day. I hope the free lesson of history has not bored =), this decision was made at night and you can see all the majestuidad the palace, which is located across the bay asuncena

Right in the center of the paraguayan...

Right in the center of the Paraguayan capital, Asuncin, is the palace of Lopez, today the home of Presidncia. No being easy its internal visitation as a very bureaucratic and time-consuming process, the exterior of the palace j speaks for si.Imperativo Colonial and simply magnificent, one con Assuno. No could know for certain procedures required to see the inside, for my long stay was limited, but I would strongly recommend to those who stay longer in the capital, which tell an agency of tourism attractions to visit. Behind the palace, there is a large space used for the heliport and logo on the bottom, are the Paraguay river, always with a Navy escort gift for protection presidencial.Todo the place guarded by security guards attentive and some cameras of surveillance. Highlight the end of the day, when the sun pe ... a little natural light reflected on the white marble of the palace, one unmissable image.

The palacio lopez

Kept in an almost non-existent - two men at the entrance tell us not to exceed a certain limit invisible to take our photos and even less to visit the interior of the place, but no armed guard seems to surround - the palace Lopez , named after the name of the President who helped the independence of the city stands between colonial architecture and park all in bloom. On the left side, a more secure way to access the array.
