Palacio Urgoiti hotel

In privileged surroundings, in the middle of nature and very closet o Bilbao, you will find this hotel. It is a place with an intense and accidental history, passionately narrated to us by Vicky Urretxa. If you have the chance ask her to tell you the story, you will be surprised by her knowledge. She is an amazing person.

The hotel counts with all kinds of commodities for the demanding traveler. It has spacious rooms, a pool, good service, nice details and a Picht & Putt golf course, to name a few characteristics. The rooms are all different, luminous and cozy. Even the standard rooms are above average.

It is an impressive place, ideal to go as a couple. They take care of every possible detail and it has all the contemporary commodities: internet connection, open Wifi, available even in the palace’s gardens! They also have a heated pool, sports facilities, everything for golfing…

I loved it as a place of leisure, with very kind and attentive staff. The surroundings are a luxury to disconnect from everyday life and recharge oneself.

The kitchen of the palace surprises with its quality. For starters, they have a delicious selection of pinchos, like the one with duck with pear, or the more typical ones like anchovies or chistorra (sausage). You can choose to eat bistro or order from the menu, both options are good (the first one is better for a quick eat). The caramelized toast is spectacular, ideal for those with a sweet tooth. They prepare a delicious homemade hamburger, called “harria”.
