Luxurious villa

Corsini Palace Lungara is a Roman palace. Located on the banks of the river Trastevere, right in front of the Villa Farnese, it was built between 1740 and 1740 by Ferdinando Fuga, the Florentine Corsini family. The Villa Farnesina, was its rival as to which family would have the most luxurious villa. The two buildings are much alike. In 1736, Cardinal Neri Corsini, nephew of Pope Clement XII acquired the Palace, and instructs Fuga to execute few changes. Fuga was the architect who made the residence of the Palazzo Quirinale, the former seat of the Popes, now the residence of the Italian president.
