Panis Café

Panis is a popular restaurant that opened about ten years ago in the heart of Newcastle. It was then the first Italian restaurant in the city, but was so successful, offering delicious dishes of the south of the country, full of flavor, that more Italian restaurants then opened nearby. During the evening, the menu is a bit more formal than at noon, with pasta dishes and pizzas replacing the paninis, but they still cost between 6 and 8 pounds, with desserts for about 3 pounds. The delicious panna cotta or Grandma's Cake with pine nuts are worth leaving room for! You can eat well for less than 15 pounds, including drinks.
