Papakolea Beach

One of the most curious places I have visited. The beach access is difficult because if you do not have a guided tour that drives you in a 4x4 you have to walk for over 1 hour to reach it. But after a swim in this beach with green sand, thanks to a mineral called olivine present on that coast, you will see that it is worth it. While it is necessary to warn that the green color is not as flashy as most are told I still recommend to visit this Big Island (Hawaii)

It was about a 90 minute walk, but the perfect little bay with clear blue water and a green sand beach was more than worth the hike.

Beautiful and safe. Totally recommended.
