Surrounded by beautiful buildings

Once in Rome you will pass by the Piazza Venezia a thousand times, situated in the Neuralgia center of the Eternal City. Many main roads start here, such as Via del Corso, Via dei Fori Imperiali, Via del Plebiscito, etc. Piazza Venezia is surrounded by three streets, the magnificent Vittorio Emanuele II monument, the Palace, images of Romulus and Remus and the world, and beautifully unique buildings. It is always crowded with pedestrians and thousands of cars, buses and motorbikes that pass through on their way to other places.

Best at night

Piazza Venezia best represents the evolution of styles from the late 19th century to the era of Mussolini. Building monuments like the Altare delle Patria, the Palazzo delle Assicurazioni Generali, and the various avenues that line the square meant destroying much of what remained of Medieval Rome. This is the square where Mussolini went into trances with his endless speeches and harangues. It’s all very monumental, yes, but perhaps also lacking the historical charm found in other parts of Rome.

It's worth visiting at night then the traffic dies down and everything's quiet. In fact, after 1am, it's perfect for a stroll.

Piazza venezia and piazza venezia is ...

Piazza Venezia and Piazza Venezia is a curious mix of Italian architectural styles of the late nineteenth to the time of Mussolini, the dictator of the early twentieth century. To build monuments such as Vittorio Emanuele, the Assicurazioni Generali, the intersection of two major highways, it's destroying much of the magnificent Roman ruins and medieval Rome. From this square, Mussolini imposed on his people interminable speeches and ideological speeches. The place keeps an imposing character, but without the charm of the rest of Rome. The site is very close to Capitol Hill and near the Roman Forum. It owes its name to the palace venezia which is nearby. At night it is beautifully lit and the palace is impressive. Near the monument to Victor Emmanuel, the first king to unify Italy North and South, there is the grave in tribute to the unknown soldier that was built after the Second World War. There is a controversy on the size of the monument and the place, the need to have shaved a pretty medieval quarter, while Rome lack of space in general, and have built a pompous monument in the middle of the city .

Piazza venezia

Imposing, remarkable with its huge palace Vittorio Emanuele II in its center, Piazza Venezia is one of the most famous of Rome, and one of its main symbols. We love to walk into the wind, admiring the classic architecture of the monument and the oldest monuments of the surroundings, conventional churches, and below impriaux forums. It is bordered by including several impressive palaces, including the Palace of insurance.

Piazza venezia

A stop piazza venezia

This scale up impressive results in the Capitol and the Roman Forum. She faces Trajan's Column and the huge Il Vittoriano. So you pass necessarily through Piazza Venezia. It is vital crossroads between ancient Rome and the City Centre. A lot of traffic, lots of noise, but you will not miss a moment you stop to take a photo in front of the most beautiful view of Il Vittoriano precisely. We also can not miss the Palazzo Venezia, the first great Renaissance palace, built for the story with stones from the Colosseum.

The piazza venezia is the true center...

The Piazza Venezia is the true center of Rome and the point of convergence of the traffic. On the side of the square is the Palazzo Venezia balcony which was famous for speeches of Mussolini, was where the saying extolled the ideals of Fascism. The monument to Vittorio Emanuele II contrasts with the rest of the city.

Down the capitol and in front of the ...

Down the Capitol and in front of the Vittoriano as it is known colloquially (the monument to Victor Emmanuel II), there are two well-known buildings: the Palace of the General Insurance and Barbo. At nightfall there just to take a picture of beautiful white building illuminated.

The queen of chaos cirdulatorio

The imposing Piazza Venezia is dominated by the majestic Palazzo di Venezia which houses the Museo Nazionale. In the heart of the city, will probably be one of the points of interest more you see if you visit Rome. Around its huge roundabout traffic chaos reigns, where there seem to be rules or rules, rather than dodge the other cars quietly, as if it were playing Scalextric. Definitely a high-risk activity for cardiac unfit. The square in beauty and elegance wins night thanks to the right lighting, more inviting to walk that day.

Instead of Venice is located in the city center of Rome. Easily accessible, it is dominated by the white marble monument to Victor Emmanuel II (where you can climb to the top for a breathtaking view) and the palaces of Venice. Driving in Italy was feasible to consider a risky activity. Stunned by the skill or crazy Roman drivers, decided to record a few seconds in the Piazza Venezia, as an example of traffic in Rome. Viewing the images you wonder who takes precedence? Those who are incorporated or are already in the roundabout?
