Pier 39

This is the most famous waterfront of San Francisco and one of the world's most popular. It´s the place from which you can see the island of Alcatraz, with the Golden Gate in the distance, the sea lions of the city and also where you have lunch or dinner, drink, shop, and enjoy one of the most charming places in San Francisco. Although it is very touristy and always packed, it is absolutely essential to go for a walk around there.

The sea lions is a gift within the visit to San Francisco, especially if you are a family with children. I have some photos and videos to complement this fabulous corner. Also you will see the Golden Gate in the background.

Pier 39 is a breakwater of the vast coastline of the city of San Francisco, in the State of California of the United States, like many other major cities of the world has become a walk and shopping center "is gets "in the Pacific Ocean. The ride izquieerda can enjoy the sight of hundreds of sea lions sunning or swimming and frolicking. It is a very pretty sight as well as what is to observe the city from there and also look at the amount and quality of sailboats and yachts that there "staying". So when you visit San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf or famous Fishermen's Wharf, walk a little further and say hello to the sea lions ..... You will not regret a trip worthwhile

Located at the end of the famous Embarcadero San Francisco towards the area of Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39 (or port number 39) is undoubtedly the best known of the entire city. People come here for its many shops, for its wooden planks full of charm, for its eateries fish and seafood, but also for its sea lions basking in the sun. One step shopping and discovery nice.

Pier 39 is a tourist attraction not to be missed in the city of San Francisco. Nor is it the fact that it seals and marine oils to make heaps of tourists thanks! It's like a carnival without rollercoasters! It has great color, lots of shops, many restaurants, the Hard Rock and the icing on the cake, these seals!

Sea lions sunbathing

Group of sea lions (100) live at Pier 39 in San Francisco. They fight each other for space. There are interpretive signs about the lives of these animals. Sometimes all and then disappear again. First came one and then kept coming over, becoming one of the attractions of the city. No one knows why they are there.

Pier 39, the temple of tourists in San Francisco! This really is the perfect place to shop, stroll along the boardwalk and observe the sealions. Around the harbor and docks are usually very pleasant.

The pier more tourist

A pier that you can not visit, you can see both the Golden Gate and Alcatraz. A word of advice to give: if you go on vacation in San Francisco to ask your travel agent to book tickets to visit Alcatraz. We went in June 2011 and there were three weeks of bookings.
