Pilgrims on the Mayflower
Plymouth Rock is where, on 21 December 1620, the pilgrims on the Mayflower landed and establish one of the first major settlements in the United States. I must say that it's a typical small port town, but what makes the difference is the presence of the Rock, engraved and placed there in 1620 to mark the presence of the newly-arrived settlers. In the harbor, not far from the Rock, there is also a replica of the Mayflower called Mayflower II. Nice place to visit if you're into American history!
