1 review of Pre-Romanesque Cross

No religious images

This stone cross dates from 1140, as seen on the inscription at his feet, and is part of the Romanesque wall, the first defensive system of the city. It's in the corner of Convent Street (which gets its name from the Frades Trinos Convent, now a library) and Travessa da Costinha (which was built in the sixteenth century the modern Barbican). This cross reminded me of the Galician crosses, although it has no religious images.
