Strada Republicii

Strada Republicii was the main artery of old Brasov. The old square was once the site of huge markets and fairs, which came from across the region. Now the street is entirely pedestrian, which is nice, and the promenade is a little town. People arrive late in the day for a walk, buy sweets and chat for a while. On Strada Republicii there are plenty of shops of all kinds. Brasov is not yet a tourist town, thus it has traditional stores and food. Many restaurants along Strada Republicii build pedestrian space to install tables and terraces outside, creating an inviting atmosphere.
