Rijksmuseum

The Rijksmuseum is a well known museum. My favourite painting, though not necessarily the most famous, is La lechera de Vermeer, depicting an eternally flowing milk jug and a Dutch windmill. I love the stillness of the mill much more than bourgeois style of Flemish painting. It is also known for the film and novel, The Girl with a Pearl Earring.

A lot of art

Excellent

A lot of pictures, different thems, they are lovely but for me (I don't like art) it was to much. sincerely it's that thing that you must do it once in a life time.

Don't miss the musicians outside the entrance.

Excellent

Wonderful, historic building with beautiful architecture. Be sure to buy a guide from the reception, there are many pieces of artwork which you should not miss out on.

There is so much to see in this museum!

Great

If you’re planning to go have in mind that you need average 3 hours to cover everything and take advantage of your visit, yes they let you take pictures, just please remember to turn the flash off.

The museum is mostly filled with art from the 1600-1800 but there is a modern art, 1900-, section on the top floor. With lots of great history about the painting and their painters this is a great place to visit when you are in Amsterdam.

Good

Excellent

Great museum to understand and see the history of art in the Netherlands, having works from Van Gogh to wood ships. I recommend spending 3 hours in the museum to having a full experience.

Amazing museum.

Great

Needs at least half a Day to be fully appreciated. If your on a short timeline, 2nd floor recommended.
