Rotherham

Rotherham is a city in northern England. It is 10 minutes by train from Sheffield, which is the biggest city in the area. THe trains are local, you have to get to Sheffield first. Rotherham has the classic pedestrian center with stores and restaurants and tourist attractions. Everything is concentrated on 2 or 3 streets. The heart of town is next to the River Don, and there are the ruins of Roman cities and proof that there was life in the area since the Iron Age. Is an industrial city, which developed in the 19th century with coal, then iron and steel, and about 20 years ago suffered the economic crisis when factories were forced to close.
