1 review of Cathedral Museum

A former jail

On the side of Columbus Park, next to Borgell Palace, is the building which was once the city jail in the seventeenth century. It is being renovated to house the future cathedral museum. It's also known as Medallion House for the three bronze medallions that appear on its facade, showing busts of the founding fathers. Throughout its history it has had various uses: prison, theatre, home to a separatist society, and headquarters of the Chamber of Deputies.
