Headquarters of the governement of colonial America

Close to the Plaza Spain, at the end of Calle Las Damas is a number of buildings called Casas Reales for hosting the headquarters of th government institutions of colonial America, for example: the House of Trade, Palace of the Governors and General Captains of the Royal Palace Hearing Indies. They were constructed in the 16th century in the Elizabethan style combining Gothic and Renaissance styles.. They are 2-story mansions, constructed of limestone. Opposite the building was a sundial, so they could see the time with only looking out the window. The building that faces the Invincible Fort now
