The Museum of Russian Culture (San Francisco) was created in 1948 in the Russian Center of San Francisco and incorporated in 1953 as an independent cultural organization in the California State Museum. The main objectives are to promote Russian culture, safeguard all types of historical materials, monuments, books, newspapers and magazines, including government records, public and private libraries, which contain information about the activities of Russian emigrants around the world and in their lives before the revolution of 1917.
