Passageways and zurbarn with mudejar art

In the neighborhood of Santa Cruz and walking distance to the extraordinary House Pilate, we find the Church of St. Stephen, seated on an ancient mosque was rebuilt in the fourteenth century by the earthquake of Lisbon which was affected. This church has probably two of the best covers Gothic-Mudejar Sevilla. The first one, in the C / Medinaceli, Gothic, in which 16 Romanesque lions are protagonists and a second, in the C / San Esteban, in which St. Stephen's protagonist and makes this door in the main entrance to the temple. As a curiosity, note the presence of two paintings by Zurbarán inside and a number of newly discovered passages after rehabilitation of the church, which communicate with the House Pilate and were used by the Dukes and raised this to prayer.

This is one of the few gothic churche...

This is one of the few Gothic churches that can be seen in Seville, although there influnze Mudejar, because it was built on the ruins of an ancient mosque. Inside the church were found secret passages that communicate with Pilatos, which passed by the Dukes of Medinacelli to go to Mass in exchange for money, which was used for the construction of the main altar. The church dates from the fifteenth century and its interior are the sculptures of San Lorenzo, San Esteban, and many performances dedicated to the Virgin Mary as the Virgin of the Kings, the Annunciation, the Immaculate, etc ... There are also decorations plaster, dating back to the seventeenth century in the sacramental chapel.
