San Francisco Solano Church

The CHURCH SAN FRANCISCO SOLANO, was reconstructed 4 times, always on the same piece of property. Its first building was constructed in the year 1567, and is attributed to the FATHER RIVADENEIRA. The 2nd, in the year 1593, was the work of SAN FRANCISCO SOLANO. The 3rd is due to the Governor in the year 1847 IBARRA, who collaborated with MIGUELITO FATHER LOPEZ and the 4th began construction in the year 1892 and partially opened in the year 1895, and was due to FRAY CELESTINE MIRANDA and later in the year 1910 he commissioned the builder Don JOSE DIAZ, the bottom of it. The current outside has ornaments and additions that were made in the year 1935 by sculptor and architect DELGADO CASTRO Oberlander.
