San Miguel Church

Next to the Korenlei dockside, before crossing the bridge to St. Nicholas Church, is the church of San Miguel. In the building´s construction it was was planned to reach up higher than the rest, being the "victory monument". But such a monument that should have measured 134 meters remained at just 24! In 1828, the unfinished tower received a flat finish. Inside you can find the "Christ on the Cross", by Anthony Van Dyck, and numerous paintings and sculptures.
