On the Grand Canal

This church (officially named San Eustachio Church) is on the Grand Canal, Venice, in Santa Santa Croce neighborhood. It's nave is flanked by 3 side chapels and a vaulted ceiling. The façade was built thanks to a legacy of the Mocenigo and represents the transition between the Baroque and neo-Palladian style of the eighteenth century. Corinthian columns support a triangular pediment. Statues decorate the front overflow and expand the dimensions of the building.
