If you visit the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes and its surroundings, you can have a great day in all respects: culturally, scenically and gastronomically. It's a Romanesque-style Benedictine Monastery which was built between 878 and 1022. It's located at the foot of Castle Verdera and has exceptional views of Llansá Bay and Port de la Selva and a few meters away is the Hermitage of Santa Elena (also Romanesque documented from 974). In the same monastery there is a restaurant which I recommend for the good value for money and the breathtaking views from their windows. I recommend making a reservation.
