The theme was water

The Expo Zaragoza 2008 was the international exhibition that took place in Zaragoza, the theme was water and its integration into sustainable development. 100 countries participated, there were many other activities such as the celebration of the country. The 100 participating countries each had a day when they got to meet and celebrate. The exhibition was held between two expositions, such as Sevilla, 1992. The fair was located on the banks of Rivergate, a bend of the river Ebro, not far from the city center. Every country built a "home", a representative building, with water environments, their savings and optimizing it. Countries generally opted for smart homes that saved energy or were solar powered. This international exhibition is like the Olympics and a committee selects a city where the exposition is to be held. Zaragoza was commemorating the bicentennial of the Siege of Zaragoza, a battle that took place in 1808 against Napoleon's French army who wanted to invade Spain and the centennial of the Spanish Franco Exhibition 1908.

Expo zaragoza 2008 is the internation...

Expo Zaragoza 2008 is the international exhibition held in Zaragoza this year on the theme of water and its role in sustainable development of mankind and the planet. More than 100 countries participate, and there are also other activities such as party countries, involved 100 each have a feast day, to get to know and enjoy. The international exhibition is generally between two universal exhibitions, such as Seville in 1992 for example. The fair is located on the banks of the Ebro, in the bend of Ranillas, not far from downtown. This exhibition is like the Olympics, every time a committee chooses a city between the volunteers, and it was here that the exhibition place. Each country built its "home", a representative building, and as this year's theme is water, buildings are eco-friendly, they work with solar energy and do not waste water. Zaragoza this year celebrates the bicentennial of the 1808 siege of Saragossa, where Napoleon's army was defeated in his attempt to invade the city, and the centenary of the French expo - Spanish 1908.

On the banks of the ebro

Spain's fourth largest city by population with its 680,000 inhabitants, the capital of Aragon, situated at the foot of the Pyrenees on the right bank of the Ebro. Founded in Augustan capital of the kingdom of the Visigoths, was among the first cities in Spain to convert to Catholicism, before being conquered by the arabi.Riconquistata by Christians in the twelfth century, it became the capital of the Kingdom of Aragon and enjoyed a long period of economic and cultural prosperity. Among the major monuments are mentioned the Cathedral of the Holy Saviour, called La Leo, the Basilica del Pilar (the oldest existing church dedicated to Mary), in addition to the citadel Saracen castle. It features a large park that is worth a stroll.

Sulle rive dell'ebro

Zaragoza can not be shown in a few pictures, this is a city with people skills and exquisite cuisine, however I always like to get lost in it and walk the streets and corners unknown to find that site to be able to portray, here I show a little bit of that.

Fuy the universal exhibition on water...

Fuy the Universal Exhibition on Water in August and after walking so much for the long halls of many countries and do no less long queues to access them, and was super tired and I left the enclosure. I go over the bridge and out of the expo, when he looked to my right, I see the sun setting, reflected in the water, trimmed booths in heaven. Do not hesitate to take a picture and that is the precious moment that shows the picture.

Hi, this is a picture i took on a clo...

Hi, this is a picture I took on a cloudy morning from the window of my room, I saw the sky letting the rays of light and I was hooked. These pictures are of you think we should all enjoy some time in their life, and if someone has not done it yet, I hope this works for you.

Seo cathedral

Beautiful cathedral full of nooks and in an atmosphere of mystery and history! For my taste nicer than the Basilica del Pilar, the penalty to be paid to visit input. Do not miss his side facade.
