I grew up dreaming of empress sissi

I grew up dreaming of Empress Sissi. I couldn´t understand how she couldn´t be happy, with these gardens, these landscapes, with a prince at her side. Time has passed and now I understand that happiness has nothing to do with having a garden. If I could freeze a moment it would be that walk which never happened, on the lawn of Shonbrunn where I never went, with rays of sun that shone and the unforgettable day that I can not remember. Review the photos and see the places where they sat, where we walk. From a window, the Empress of Austria looks at us with envy. She is the owner, we the owners of the photos we took. How can you not go to Vienna? Next time, we will dance for real.

Schönbrunn palace

The beautiful summer residence of the emperors of Austria, takes its name from a spring that was found in this place. Formerly there was a hunting lodge that was destroyed by the Turks, and on its ruins was built this baroque palace grnade considerably. It is so to highlight the beauty of the palace itself and the gardens, though covered with snow not seen in all its beauty although in his greatness. Inside, the rooms can be either very sumptuous as the Millionen Zimmer, fig lined wood and adorned with Persian miniatures or austere and simple, as those occupied by Emperor Franz Joseph and Sissi. If I had to highlight one of the many rooms that are visited the Imperial Tour (the other is the Grand Tour, shorter and fewer rooms to visit) would be the two Chinese circular halls, the Grand Gallery (but is under construction in half) and Old Lacquer Room. Special attention as a way of anecdote, requires the bathroom we found at the entrance / exit ecological vinyl wrapped ...

The year was 1956 when the film premiered Empress Sisi in Spain, as I recall. In those years there were the authorized or unauthorized pelícuas understand censorship of that yesterday. Everyone over 14 or 16 or 18. At that time those who had less than fourteen years, we had to attend conformarco n the neighborhood cinemas, sadly missing today, and inflate to see oontinuas sessions of cowboy movies, and American Indians and of course the misadventures of SISI One of our idolized. In our short visit to Vienna, because the weather prevented us from being one more day, I suddenly found myself treading the same ground as my favorite actress of small and wondered what does a guy like you doing in a place like this?. To me, all those memories had roasted and yet I returned to my childhood. I remembered those days of shorts and the Parque del Oeste. Surely as the song says "I will not forget happy times."

Summer palace of the emperors

Built during the eighteenth century, the palace of Schömbrum located on the outskirts of Vienna was the summer residence and hunting lodge of the emperors of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. With its facade of 180 meters is really great, behind the palace is a garden and then a forest park. You can make different tours to visit the palace, we did the simplest but the Imperial Tour because there was no time for anything. On this tour you have the opportunity to meet some of the private apartments and dig a little in the life of Sissi and Emperor Franz Joseph. We also took a walk through the gardens adorned with statues, perfectly arranged with rows of flowers, some red and white representing the Austrian flag. At the end of the garden there is a fountain with statues of Neptune and other characters associated with marine mythology and then followed by a steep, until you reach a roundabout where you can enjoy magnificent views of the city of Vienna. On the way down if we go into the wooded spot on the left side you get to the zoo and to the right we can enjoy a forest, where if you bring nuts or cookies and have patience squirrels come to your hand to eat .

The beauty of the architecture imperial

A place incatevole, the imperial summer residence .. The interior is absolutely beautiful and the rooms, in restoration, which struck me particularly was built in rosewood .. I can not imagine the process and the number of employees rose bushes! : D What I appreciated most, however, was the Gloriette, up there: architecture refined located in a position that offers a dazzling view. Arduous climb to get there but totally satisfying to the senses. Beautiful and extensive lush gardens are accessible for free. Of the various places I visited in Vienna, this was what fascinated me the most.

Castle of schnbrunn

Schönbrunn Palace is our favorite visit to Vienna and we are not alone. Being the most touristic point in the city, there is a constant crowd. However, the castle obviously worth queuing. Not as impressive as the Nymphenburg Palace in Munich, this summer house is still a beautiful palace, where we learn a lot about the life of Sissi and Franz Joseph her husband. Visit with audio guide is not too heavy, just enough to walk around with a fun piece to another. Comments are themselves sometimes quite moving.

Schnbrunn

This splendid castle comparable to Versailles by its size, its luxury, beauty and reputation imposes upon entry with its grand façade. Built by Marie-Therese instead of hunting lodge built by Leopold I, we now imagine the splendor of the palace life in the Renaissance. The castle is the witness of the life of one of the most powerful royal family of that time: the Habsburgs. Inside we find: the great hall where still resonate waltzes, stoves, furniture successive occupants, the imperial dishes ... Around the palace, a huge park with gardens, an orange, a zoo ... and gazebo. Must visit in Vienna!

Schonbrunn palace, the palace of sisi

In Vienna there are three great palaces, this being the most striking (and expensive) due to good maintenance of all the rooms of the palace, and gardens endless. It's amazing to think that these kings they had these gardens, and could not enjoy. Note: The price is divided. The base entry to see some 20 rooms of the castle are 12 euros, and if you want to see all the rooms and have to spend more. The gardens, mostly, are included, although there are some sections that costs money aside, as the maze or the royal gardens (not very big). Oh, and do not stop to take pictures inside the castle, you know, and then sell "merchandising" ...

Schönbrunn Palace is a former imperial summer residence in Vienna, Austria. One of the most important cultural monuments in the country, since the 1960s it has been one of the major tourist attractions in Vienna. The palace and gardens illustrate the tastes, interests and aspirations of the Habsburg monarchs. Schönbrunn is the name given to the Emperor Matthias, who had discovered during a trip to hunt a particularly good source (in German, schöner Brunnen "beautiful fountain"). Schönbrunn Palace was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996.

Although is far from the center, it is essential to try this viens palace to get a great idea of how to live the austracos monarchs. By train it does not take anything and the station is within walking distance. Stunning inside and out ... Its gardens are huge and authentic past.

This is a great but beware visit (anecdote): The price is exorbitant parking proximity, Superior at a price of visiting the monument!

Schönbrunn is the imperial palace in ...

Schönbrunn is the imperial palace in Vienna. Located on the outskirts of the city (metro Schonbrunn), the castle offers large gardens where walks are enjoyable. If the architecture a little stiff the building may seem disappointing, the visit of the interior is great, and the splendor of the Austro-Hungarian empire appears unapologetic in all more beautiful than the other rooms. A visit to the Gazebo is also recommended: On top of a small hill, the gazebo is a small building of neoclassic style, which you will have an exceptional view of the Schonbrunn Palace.

One of the greatest attractions of vi...

One of the greatest attractions of Vienna is in the suburbs. Schönbrunn Palace, also known as the Viennese Versailles is the palace where lived Franz Joseph and Sissi and offers spectacular views of the Austrian capital. Most notable are its spectacular gardens, since the interior is not as luxurious as could be expected because of the character "simple" and austere of the occupants of that time. Still, the tour is worth as many parts of known history.
