Catacomb of Priscilla

We visited the Catacomb of Priscilla on a tour to underground spots in Rome. Who knew that there were miles and miles of catacombs beneath the surface of the Roman streets? It is a very unique place to visit in the Eternal City. Out of the catacombs that you can visit in Rome, I highly recommend this one. It is a little off the beaten path, so it is less busy than other catacombs. There were hardly any other people there when we visited with our small group. Wandering through the catacombs is like a maze - be careful as you could get lost! Most of the catacombs are empty spaces nowadays, as they had been looted in the past, or the remains had been moved.
