A somber reminder

The 9/11 Memorial Preview Site, as its name suggests, is a space dedicated to the memory of the terrorist attacks that took place on September 11, 2001. Here everyone can follow the progress of the work of the World Trade Center, the complex of buildings that are being built in Ground Zero, as well as recall that moment that changed the history of the United States and the world. The museum opened in 2009, and more than one million visitors have passed through it. Access hours are from 10 am to 7 pm from Monday to Saturday and from 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday. Admission is free, and as there are only

Excellent

Ground Zero is the name given to the southern part of Manhattan where the Twin Towers were before the attacks of September 11. Now (we were there in July 2011) there is a flurry of workers building a huge complex with two new towers. When completed, it will be the highest in the world (I think), and in my opinion, it looks like they want to finish it as soon as possible so that what happened won´t be forgotten and so that it will remain part of recent history. Most things are replaced after a tragedy but this area should be just as it was before the date of the attack.

A Truly Moving Experience

Constructed on Ground Zero, this inspiring, thought-provoking and heart felt museum/monument is a must see for anyone in New York. It is built to commemorate those lost in the September 11 attacks as well as the 1993 World Trade Center bombings. The park is beautifully laid out, with the waterfall monuments built on top of the exact positions of the old WTC1 and WTC2, with the names of the deceased inscribed onto the metal structure surrounding the monument. We visited during lunch time, one of the busiest - however the entire area was so peaceful allowing time to reflect and appreciate the memorial.

September 11 Memorial

Getting to Ground Zero is a path full of emotions. Located in the business district, the atmosphere is charged with the memories of 11S. It is impossible to not feel emotional. Getting there is easy because the buildings are constructed on the side of the Twin Towers visitors centre. Once there, you can visit the Memorial site for 9/11. It is only accessible with a ticket, but its free. Tickets can be obtained from various points. The lines move quickly and orderly. And upon arrival, the spectacle is awesome: where the towers were there is now water flowing continuously, the sound accompanying

Made in America

A star rises atop a spire in a city of millions. Although we may lead very different lives, we share in one common experience as we look up into the sky and freedom fills our hearts. Freedom, as it were, is “made in America.”
