A casino on the beach
The casino stands on the edge of the beach between the city centre and Mindil Beach (20 minutes walk from the shopping centre). The pyramid-shaped building is really rather ugly, but it doesn't detract from the charm of the surrounding gardens or the quality of the many restaurants. If you love gambling you'll find plenty to suit you ... machines, blackjack, roulette, keno ... major sports matches are shown on a giant screen, including Aussie rules. Don't forget: the dress code is quite strict, you need a proper suit, and can't wear sandals.
