Cimetière Saint Matthew

2 reviews of Cimetière Saint Matthew

An ancient cemetery

Great

St Matthews Cemetery and church are unusual places for several reasons: first because it is the oldest cemetery in the city, first used way back in 1770. Close to homes and other urban buildings, it's rare to see these graves in a modern city, especially covered by snow in winter. Furthermore, the church adjoining the cemetery has been converted into a library (where you can use wifi), which I think is even stranger ... One of the many unusual things to find in the city of Quebec!
