Gingerbread house

This church is located in the central plaza of Altos de Chavon, and, like the other buildings of the village, it's built of coral stone. It's beautiful and looks like a gingerbread house! Despite its old appearance, it was only built 25 years ago. It's a Catholic church where many people get married, especially celebrities and high class people. It was named in honour of Pope John Paul II, because St. Stanislaus is the patron of Poland, the Pope's native land. There is mass on Saturday and Sunday at 5:00, but it's always open for the rest of the day and you can see inside through metal bars protecting
