Great interactive animal park for the entire family
The Tanganyika Wildlife Park is a hands-on outdoor wildlife park located in the small town of Goddard, Kansas about a half hour east of Wichita. Tanganyika makes for a ideal family day-trip for both its wide selection of animals and the interactive aspect of many of the exhibits. As far as animals go, the selection is really unique; there are large African favorites like giraffes (you can get up close and feed them straight from your hand!) and hippos but also rare big cats like snow leopards and white Bengal tigers, perhaps the most stunning creatures at the park. Like I said, you can get up close and pet and feed many of the animals. This ranges from barnyard creatures like goats to more exotic ones like lemurs and kangaroos (a hit with the kids). Trust me, the chance to hold a lemur in your arms is something you shouldn't pass up!
