Dances in the Church of the Cross

This, technically, is not a place but rather a location. The first time that I saw the church of the cross, with its high tower and front esplanade lined with stalls selling crafts, I knew that I was going to love it forever. At the top of the stairs I could see lot of people dressed in colors, dancing to the beat of the drums. When I approached, I saw that they were dressed in the typical costumes of Aztec dancers. I did not dance in honor of their ancient gods, but rather in honor of St. Michael the Archangel, whose image was displayed on a statue. They were people of all ages there, from children of five or six years, to eighty year old ladies.
