One of the most beautiful villages in Madrid
El Atazar is one of the most beautiful villages in the Madrid region. Located in a unique environment only a few kilometers from the Atazar Reservoir, the town offers visitors a truly singular landscape. The downside is it that the only public transportation is from Torrelaguna, so a vehicle is required if you want to visit. Of all the towns I've visited in the Community of Madrid, El Atazar is the one that most recalls the area's tradition of farming and rural life. Ideal for a few relaxing days in the countryside.
