Flower Market (Marché aux Fleurs)

10 reviews of Flower Market (Marché aux Fleurs)

A delight

Throughout the year the flower market is a most agreeable surprise in the heart of Paris, color and aroma fills an area where most of the buildings are administrative. This is the most famous and one of the last markets of its kind in Paris. It offers the widest choice in floral varieties, especially the orchids and birds on Sundays. They have many varieties of baskets and crates of all sizes and materials. It's a delight and I regretted not being able to buy any plants. It is open Monday-Saturday from 8-18 and Sunday from 8-19.

Seasonal flowers

The Flower Market is located in the place Louis Lépine, on the Ile de la Cité, with some stalls along the Seine. A short distance away is also the Cathedral of Notre Dame. This market offers different international plants, seasonal flowers and accessories and gardening implements. The shops are open every day from 08h00 to 19h00, and on Sundays the market becomes the animal market, seeds for birds and food for rodents. Metro station, "La Cité" in line 4.
