The Golden Hind serves good quality fish and chips in a small unassuming restaurant in central London. It's a small place and is always pretty busy. While there, check out the decommissioned art deco fryer by F Ford of Halifax and the celebrity photos on the walls.
You can bring your own (BYO) wine to accompany your meal as the restaurant is unlicensed and they have no corkage charge.
